Choker- Translucent Green

This 4 row Choker- Translucent Green comes with a unique combination of Antiqued Bone Hairpipe and Bone Hairpipe. The Hairpipe measures from 1 inch to 3.5 inches. Master craftsman Andy Bullock created it using Smoke colored  deerskin leather lacing.  He added Trans Green, and White Center Cranberry Crow beads,  round Copper Beads and Bone Choker Spacers. The front drop features a 2.5″ Abalone Concho with a White Center Cranberry Crow Bead in the center. This Choker measures 16.5 inches long with 10‑inch ties.  The front drop extends 10 inches.

One of a Kind.

Bone chokers hold a long and meaningful place in Native American culture. Artisans crafted them from bone hair pipes, leather, shell, and later glass beads. Warriors wore these chokers as protective adornments that symbolized status. The width and number of rows often signaled rank or ceremonial importance. Beyond protection, bone chokers expressed identity and honored the animals whose materials shaped them. They also strengthened the wearer’s connection to ancestral traditions. Over time, the form grew into a widely recognized cultural emblem. In keeping with this legacy, contemporary artists continue to create bone chokers that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics while preserving their deep cultural significance.
