Reproduction Tobacco Bag - Handmade

This One of a Kind Tobacco Bag reproduces an 1860s style tobacco bag.  Master Craftsman Andy Bullock created this bag with super soft German tanned Deerskin Leather.  Andy decorated this bag with fabulous old bead colors.
The 11/0 cut Periwinkle beads will catch your eye! He also used White Center Red, Cobalt Blue, Pony Trader Blue, Cheyenne Pink, Mustard and Arapaho Green Seed Beads. He added handmade antiqued Tin Cones to the 'legs'. Geometric designs adorn each side. Andy also beaded the edges and added edge beading to the top of the bag.
This bag style evolved from earlier traditions where Native Americans used a whole animal skin as a bag, with the legs intact. Over time, they removed the legs and added a Quillwork panel to the bottom of the bag.
This Tobacco Bag measures approx. 20" long x 5.5" wide. It comes with a piece of Braintanned Deerskin Leather lacing to hold it closed.
