These Strap Leather Shield Blanks will be ideal for you to use to make your own Shield or  Mandala. They consist of  10-12 ounce Strap Leather.  Each one measures 14 inches in Diameter. Let your creativity take over on these Blank Shields. Native American shields hold deep cultural and spiritual significance, often serving as more than just physical protection. Crafters traditionally made them from materials like thick rawhide or wood, sometimes reinforced with a wooden hoop. They often adorned them with symbolic designs, such as animals, celestial patterns, or other motifs believed to offer spiritual protection and strength.

Mandalas are related to shields and medicine wheels. Many Native American cultures view the circle as a sacred shape, representing unity, balance, and the cycles of life.  Crafters can incorporate these shapes with designs representing the four directions, animal totems, symbols of nature, and traditional geometric motifs.  They decorate them with roving wool (mandella wool), feathers, beads, rabbit fur, and Deerskin Leather Lacing.  Make your own mandala with our  leather Shield Blanks and our craft supplies!
