Buffalo Hide Back Third

When you need some hair on Buffalo Hide, but not the whole thing, we have the back third of a Buffalo Hide for you!  You can use this hide as craft material to make small items.  Campers may find it perfect to use as bedding for a tent or teepee.

The Plains Indians depended on American Bison for sustenance. They used nearly every part of the animal. In addition to providing food, a bison contained material to make tools and decorative material. Some parts of the bison provided supplies to make glue, thread and lubricants. They made clothing and moccasins from the hide. And of course, they used the hide to make Buffalo Robes.

Our Buffalo Hide measures 90″ long at the longest point. The width to the end of the tail measures 39″ wide. Along the legs, the width measures 42″ wide.

A previous owner used this Hide, so you will see evidence of wear.  The hair has worn off in some places and there are a couple of holes.  The Hide itself is somewhat stiff, but the hair is nice and soft.

One of a Kind!
