Beaded gauntlets are decorative leather gloves, often adorned with intricate beadwork. Originally introduced to Native Americans in the 19th century, they became popular for their artistic designs and cultural significance. These gauntlets were typically crafted from animal hides like elk and deer.  Crafters embellished them with trade beads in vibrant colors.  The beadwork often featured geometric patterns, floral designs, or pictorial imagery, showcasing the creativity and skill of the artisans. Techniques like the “lazy stitch” and overlay stitch were commonly used to create detailed designs.
