Otter Drop Wapegnaki Hair Ornament

SOLD Add this One of a Kind Wapegnaki Hair Ornament Otter to your collection!  Master Craftsman Andy Bullock made this  Wapegnaki for us. Andy made this one with Deerskin Leather.  He used Lazy Stitch to create the main section in Turquoise, Transparent Cobalt Blue, and Red Seed Beads. He added edge beading in Transparent Cobalt Blue Seed Beads. At the top he fastened a 2 inch diameter German Silver Concho.
On the bottom, he attached three strips of Otter fur.  He added four beaded drops made with Turquoise, Red, Cobalt and White Pony Beads.  Each ends with a 1.25 inch Tin Cone and White Deerskin Leather.  Andy covered the back with a dark red fabric.  You can tie it to your hair with the attached Deerskin Leather Lacing.
Wapegnaki is a name for a Plains Indian Hair Ornament. These Hair Ornaments typically feature a strip of beadwork or quillwork with a length of hair coming from the bottom. They might also have feathers and tassels attached to them.  This Wapegnaki will make a colorful addition to your collection!  Overall, the Wapegnaki measures 24 inches long.  The beaded section measures 10 inches long x 3 inches wide.  One of a Kind!
