Knife Sheath- Squared Ended

This fully beaded Northern Plains style Knife Sheath- Squared Ended will make a great addition to your collection!  The crafter made it with Braintanned Deerskin leather with a Rawhide lining.   He decorated the front with geometrical designs using White, Greasy Yellow, Crow Pale Blue, Cobalt Blue and White Center Red Seed Beads.  The crafter aged the beads to make them look older.   In the center and bottom he added  rows of 1 inch long handmade Tin Cones.   At the bottom he also added 12 inches of Braintanned Deerskin Leather Lacing Fringe.

The sheath measures 10 inches long by 3 inches wide.  The knife opening at the top measures 2 inches . This beaded Northern Plains Style Knife Sheath- Squared Ended  is a perfect Native American regalia accessory and a valuable addition to any Native American beadwork collection.   One of a Kind!

Native American fully beaded knife sheaths are stunning examples of craftsmanship, often created using intricate beadwork on leather or hide. These sheaths serve both functional and decorative purposes, protecting knives while showcasing cultural artistry. Many designs feature geometric patterns, tribal symbols, or representations of animals, reflecting the heritage and traditions of the maker. The beadwork is typically done using lazy stitch or peyote stitch, ensuring durability and precision. Some sheaths also incorporate fringe, tassels, or metal accents like copper cone drops for added detail.
