Turban Otter with Meskwaki Beaded Tail

Enjoy the colorful beadwork on this Meskwaki Style Otter Fur Turban!  The crafter started with a soft Otter Fur.  She lined the Turban with calico fabric.  She covered the edges with red fabric binding and added a double row of edge Beading with White Pony Beads.
On the front, the crafter added a hand beaded 4.5" x 2.5" Bear Paw shaped  Beaded Medallion in Transparent Red, Transparent Green, Yellow, Orange, White and Black Seed Beads.  You will also find a 3" shaped medallion done in Transparent Red, Cobalt Blue, 2 shades of Transparent Green, Cheyenne Pink, Yellow, Orange, Black & White Seed Beads.
A cross shaped metal Pendant and two  2.25" Trade Silver Brooches also appear on the Turban.
The crafter covered the Otter Tail with diamond designs in Cobalt Blue, Transparent Red, Orange, Yellow, Transparent Green, Cheyenne Pink, and Black on a White Seed Bead background.  At the end, a Horsehair Drop features two Ermine Tails and a heart shaped glass millefiori pendant.  The Otter Fur shows on the back of the tail.  A single Hand Painted Eagle Feather rises from a Deerskin Leather pocket inside the back of the Turban.
This Turban measures approximately 22" in circumference on the inside. It measures 5.5"  wide.  The Drop measures 20" long overall.
You will find this Turban in excellent, wearable condition.
