Trade Beads - Venetian Millefiori

This strand of  Venetian Millefiori Trade Beads comes with large beads. It includes a variety of colors and sizes. The Italian word Millefiori means "thousand flowers." It refers to the multi-layered wound mosaic glass beads. Bead artists created these in Venice beginning in the early 1800s. Traders brought a large variety of glass beads to the Americas during the colonial period. These included Padre Beads, large round Hudson Bay trade beads and Venetian Millefiori Trade Beads. They traded these beads to the Native Americans in exchange for furs. This strand of Venetian Millefiori Trade Beads comes with approximately 24 beads. One of a Kind! Shop for more Trade Beads!
