Tipi Model
Tipi Model
This nicely made Tipi Model features Buffalo Rawhide and real Buffalo hair. We think the crafter created it before 1960. The rawhide Tipi sits on a piece of round plywood. Wood dowels give the Tipi its shape and hold the top flaps open.On the back you will see a spot where the Buffalo hair remains on the hide. Interesting. The front flap is likely dyed Cowhide. The color makes it resemble Red Wool. Leather lacing ties attach the Tipi to the base.
This Tipi belonged to a previous owner but it remains in very good condition. You will see some of the front lacing has broken. Additionally you will see marks and scratches on the outside.
It stands about 13" tall. The base measures 11.75" in diameter.
