Strike a Light Bag Reproduction

This reproduction Strike a Light Bag looks like it might be antique! Master Craftsman Andy Bullock created this Southern Plains style reproduction bag with reclaimed strap leather. He applied old color Seed Beads in White, Mustard, Clear Green, White Center Cranberry Red and Cheyenne Pink in Lazy Stitch. He added a triple row of edge beading using White Seed Beads. Andy 'antiqued' 1" Tin Cones and added them to the bottom and the flap of the bag.
Andy used Braintanned Deerskin Leather Lacing to make twisted leather fringe drops to the bottom of the bag. Each drop has matte finish White Center Red Pony Beads on it.  One side features tiny antique Chevron beads and a crescent shaped metal pendant. Brass Beads decorate the Braintanned Deerskin Leather hanging loop. The flap sports a Nickel Metal Spot.
Native Americans created and used Strike a Light Bags to carry their flints, steels and other items to start a fire. They often decorated their bags with beads and porcupine quills.  They included a small handle or strap so they could hang it from their belt or sash.
This Bag measures 5" long x 3.5" wide at the bottom. The hanging loop is 4" long.
