Sled Blanket Inuit Style

Sled Blanket Inuit Style
Add unique Inuit style art to your collection!  This embroidered Sled Blanket would have been used to cover the dogsled.  You will find slits all along the edges where it would have been tied down.  The crafter used a felt like brown fabric with a whip stitched edge for the front and an ivory colored cotton fabric for the back.  On the front, the crafter embroidered a variety of 'scenes' including sled dogs, an igloo, people tossing balls, and a successful hunter processing a seal.  The crafter signed the initials L.L. at the bottom.
The Blanket measures 27" long x 17" wide.  It is in very good condition with no fading or tears.  It will make an unusual wall hanging or small coverlet.  One of a Kind!
