Shield Rawhide with Buffalo Painting

Shield Rawhide with Buffalo Painting
This painted Rawhide Shield will make an unusual accent for your home or a new regalia accessory!  The crafter started with a wooden hoop.  He or she wrapped and laced Rawhide around the hoop. Then he or she painted a Buffalo Head in Black Brown, and Red on it. The crafter surrounded the Buffalo Head with Red dots and wavy lines.
On the back you will find several lengths of hand cut Cowhide Leather Lacing.  They allow you to hold the Shield with one arm, or drape it around yourself.  Or use the smaller piece of Cowhide Leather Lacing near the top to hang it on the wall.
The Shield is not perfectly round and it bows toward the back at the top and bottom. It measures approximately 19.5" wide in diameter and about 18" from top to bottom.
A previous owner used this Shield, but it remains in very good condition. You will see spots where the paint has flecked off and some soiling.
