This Shalako Kachina Doll will bring colorful beauty to your home! Place our Shalako maiden in a prominent place in your home to reap the benefits of her gentle blessings!She wears a colorful shawl of Yellow, Red, Black & Blue. Her long hair hangs down her back and her face mask reflects the colors of her shawl. Additionally, delicately carved Eagle feathers make up her dress. She stands ever so slightly tilted to the right, as many Shalako carvings do.
The Zuni Shalako Kachina Ceremony celebrates the end of the old year and the beginning of the New Year. This ceremony asks for blessings and well being for the participants.
The artist HJ did a fine job burning and carving this Kachina. She measures 5.5" tall, not including the circular wood base she stands on.
