Seal Carving

Seal Carving
Nicely made Seal Carving is ready to hang out on your shelf or desk!  The artist made it from a mottled green soapstone. He or she neatly etched in the eyes, mouth, and flippers.  Then he or she added a white stone to the eyes. The artist also etched SAMEONIE on the bottom.
Native Americans from the Arctic North and Northwest consider seals to be symbols of plenty, safety and innocence.
The Soapstone Seal belonged to a previous owner, but it is in very good condition.
It measures 4.5" long overall and 2" tall at the head.
