SOLD This Ribbon Shirt Red Calico Size XXL is ready to wear. Native American Ribbon Shirts are classic Powwow Regalia. This Classic Ribbon Shirt features white ribbon trim on the front, collar and cuffs. The seamstress used a cotton blend fabric. She added a button loop and a silver tone button at the neck.  This shirt is a  pull over style that does not stretch. It has side vents at the bottom. The cuffs have silver tone button closures.
Native American Ribbon Shirts are Regalia items that are worn by Native American people of many tribes and traditions.  Native Americans based them on the cotton or linen fabric shirts that European traders and colonists wore. Silk ribbons were another of the trade goods brought to North America by the Europeans. The bright colors of the ribbons made them very popular among Native Americans.  In the 1800s calico fabric became available and Native Americans also made clothing from that colorful patterned cloth.
This shirt is a Men's Extra Extra Large with a 50" chest.  It is 33" long from neck to hem with 22" long drop sleeves and a 5.25" cuff.  One of a Kind!
