Gourd Dance Rattle With Peyote Stitch Handle
SOLD This Rattle Gourd Dance 20" features beautiful Peyote Stitch decorations on the handle and at the top of the rattle. The crafter made it using an old metal salt shaker. He or she used a wood dowel for the handle. On the handle, the crafter attached Peyote Stitch Tubes with geometric designs. He used 11/0 cut Seed Beads in various shades of Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Orange, and Wine on a White Seed Bead background. At the top, the crafter attached several colorful Parrot Feathers which extend from a section of the Peyote Stitch beadwork. 10 inches of Twisted Fringe hangs from the bottom.The Rattle Gourd Dance 20" measures 20 inches long not including the Twisted Fringe. The beaded sections measure 9 inches long at the bottom and 1.5 inches long at the top. We got this rattle from a collection. You will see minor bead loss on the handle and signs of wear. The feathers have small holes in them from insect damage. The rattle is in good, usable condition. One of a Kind!
