Pottery - Kiva Vessel with Handle

This unique Kiva Pottery Bowl features traditional tadpole and dragonfly designs.  Tadpoles often represent symbols of fertility and renewal.  Dragonflies are symbols of water and renewal. The stepped sides of this bowl are reminiscent of the shape of a Kiva. The potter painted the designs in brown and rust over the white slip. It also features a curved handle.
The artist signed the bottom "M.W. 77".
This pottery bowl stands 6" high. It measures approx. 6" long x 5" wide.
