Pottery Hopi Bowl
Pottery Hopi Bowl
This Hopi Pottery Bowl features geometric designs. It looks like the potter covered the bowl with a light colored slip. He or she painted the designs with Black Paint and covered the outside with a light glaze. You will see reddish coloration in places on this bowl. This may have happened when the bowl was fired. We think this Bowl comes from the 1950s or 1960s.This bowl stands just over 2" tall. The top opening measures 3.25" in diameter. It measures 4.25" in diameter at the widest point.
A previous owner had this pot in a collection. Structurally, it remains in very good condition. You can see wear on the bottom and small scratches and chips.
