Plateau Beaded Bag Deer

This Plateau Beaded Bag features two Deer grazing by a mountain range. The craftsman applique stitched 8/0 pony beads on stiff fabric to create a doe and buck in a light green field, pretty purple mountains, clouds, and an aqua border. Colors include Luster White, Light Purple, Rose Pink, Light Blue, Dark Brown, Arapaho Green, and more. The craftsman then sewed on a red fabric panel for the back side of the bag, and lined the inside with black floral cloth. They used red wool to bind the outside edges and attached leather laces for handles.
This charming plateau bag is fully functional! Made circa 1970, the red wool binding on the front has faded slightly from light exposure. Otherwise, the bag is in excellent condition with no bead loss. It is 13" wide by 14 1/4" long, and the handles are 12" long.
