This Beaded Lakota Style pipe bag is an exceptional example of lazy stitch beadwork! The artist constructed this unique three tabs style pipe bag with soft German tanned Deerskin Leather. This bag also features beaded drops, metal cones, and 13" long Leather fringe. The artist beaded the opening of the bag and attached a 18 1/2" long Leather lace which can be used to tie shut the pipe bag.
They beaded body of the bag with 11/0 seed beads. The artist created a design including geometric patterns highlighted with  American Flags and Tipis. They used primarily Czechoslovakian Seed Beads in White, Trans. Red, Trans Teal, Navy Blue, along with Reproduction Seed Beads in Sioux Green and Greasy Yellow. The design is the same on both sides of the bag. The artist continued the same color scheme on the side seams and opening. For a finishing touch, four beaded tassels hang from the opening of the bag (see photo.) The two outer tassels are 4" long with White and Blue Seed Beads, the two inner tassels are 12" long with Trans. Red, Trans. Teal, Navy Blue, and White Seed Beads.
The body of the pipe bag measures 22" long and 7" across at its widest point, tapering to 5" wide at the opening.
