Paddle Northwest Coast Style

Carved Northwest Coast Style Wood Paddle

SOLD Display this unique Paddle Northwest Coast Style in a special place in your home!  The carver used spruce wood to create this carving.  He created traditional stylistic Northwest Coast designs on one side.  On the back you will find the carved  image of a devil.  He made a round handle at one end.  The other end comes to a point.
The Native Americans of the Northwest Coast include the Haida, Tlingit, Coast Salish, Nuu-chah-nulth peoples.  They are known for their rich artistic traditions, including intricate wood carvings. These carvings are an integral part of their cultural expression.  They used them to create totem poles, masks, canoes, and other ceremonial and functional items.  Beyond ceremonial and artistic pieces, Northwest Coast artists also create practical items such as spoons, combs, and tools. While these items may be less elaborately decorated than ceremonial pieces, they still showcase the craftsmanship and artistic style of the region.
This Paddle Northwest Coast Style is not a full size canoe paddle.  It measures 21.5 inches long and about 3.5 inches wide at the widest point.  We got it from a collection.  You will see scratches and signs of wear on it.  It will make a striking addition to your collection or home decor.  One of a Kind!
