Moccasins Northern Plains Vintage
Moccasins Northern Plains VintageThese Moccasins Northern Plains Vintage will make a fine addition to any collection! Circa 1970s, the craftsman sewed them in the Plains style with imitation sinew from Braintanned Deerskin Leather. They used more of the same material to add cuffs, flaps, and laces. These moccasins have leather insoles that the craftsman likely glued in. They used sinew to lazy stitch a rosette on each moccasin vamp with Red, Turquoise, Orange, Yellow, Brown and Black Seed Beads. The same colors were used to lazy stitch around the toes.
There has been very little bead loss! These moccasins measure 9" long by 4" wide at the instep. (Est. Women's size 8/Men's 6 1/2). They stand 2" high with the cuff folded down.
A previous owner wore these moccasins. The ties on both remain intact. The moccasins show soiling and staining but remain in good overall condition.
