Iroquois Style Beaded Deerskin Moccasins
These Antique Iroquois Style Beaded Infant Moccasins are constructed of fine deerskin. The Beaded toe vamp is adorned with white, greasy yellow, clear red and clear Pony beads and two brass sequins. The wrap around cuffs are black velveteen also beaded with a transparent amber and white Pony beads. You can see some wear on these moccasins on the bottom by the toes and heel. One has a small hole on the back of the heel. The crafter made them in the 1920s.This style of moccasins were made by using one piece of leather for the bottom and then adding the vamp and cuff. Later as the bottom became worn, the vamp and cuff could be removed and attached to a new piece of leather.
They measure 5.25" long x 2.25" wide at the middle with a smaller pointed toe.
These Moccasins came from a collection. They are in very good condition for their age and will make stunning addition to your Beadwork or Moccasin Collection! One of a Kind!
