SOLD Add this Mask- Artie George to your collection today. This mask was created and signed by Artie George.  He named it Tsonotewa.  The mask comes in a set with two tiny drums.  George painted one with a killer whale and the other with a quail.  Each comes  with its own beater.
The mask itself measures 2.5 inches tall. Mounted on its black wooden block, it stands 4.75 inches high and 2 inches wide. Each miniature drum measures 1.75 inches wide by 1.25 inches tall.  A “Salishon” sticker appears on the bottom, and Artie George’s signature is written on the back of the mask.  One of a Kind.
Artie George is the great nephew of Chief Dan George. Artie is a Coast Salish artist who works from the Burrard Reserve in North Vancouver, British Columbia. He is an accomplished wood mask carver.  He creates miniature masks that he adds to brooches, shadow boxes and bolo ties. You can find his work in museums in the United States and Canada.
