Antique Iroquois Beaded Heart Pincushion
Native Americans who live in the border regions between Canada and the US created Beaded Whimsies as tourist souvenirs. One of them created this Beaded Heart Pincushion/Wall Hanging in the late 19th century.The crafter made the body of this Pincushion Whimsy with velveteen. He or she beaded the design with clear Seed Beads and colored Basket Beads. The crafter then added beaded tassels along the bottom and a beaded loop for hanging.
This Antique Iroquois Beaded Heart Pincushion remains in excellent condition with no bead loss.
It measures about 6" x 6" at its longest points and about 2.25" wide.
This will make a delightful addition to your beadwork or whimsy collection!
