SOLD This Hunting Bag with Quillwork showcases rich quillwork depicting the Underwater Panther, a powerful figure in Native cosmology. The crafter used walnut-dyed braintanned Deerskin Leather to create this shot bag. He created a scalloped flap for the front. A fabric lining reinforces its durability. He attached a red and white Glass Wampum strap. On the bottom he added several Tin Cones drops made with Red Deer Tail hair and black and white Pony Beads. On the back, the crafter created five Glass Wampum Bead tassels on each side of the strap. A few of the drops lack their deerhair. This piece unites utility, artistry, and cultural meaning in every detail.The bag measures 8 inches long by 8.5 inches wide, not including the added length from the Tin Cone drops. One of a Kind.
