Horn Spoon Carved Handle

Horn Spoon Carved Handle

Horn Spoon Carved Handle
This Carved Horn Spoon features carving detail on the handle and edge of the bowl!  The crafter used natural horn to create this beautiful Spoon.  You will admire how symmetrical and smooth it is.  The accentuated curve in the handle adds to its appeal. The natural grain makes it almost look like wood!
Several Native American tribes created horn spoons from Sheep or Elk horn. They removed the outer part of the horn and carved it. Then they softened it in hot water to further modify the shape.  Sometimes they decorated them with carvings.
This spoon is for decorative purposes. It is in excellent condition, and will make an attractive addition to your spoon collection!
It measures about 7.5" long. The bowl measures approximately 3.5" long x  1 7/8" wide.
