Hair Tube Beaded Leather
This Beaded Leather Hair Tube made circa 1900s features lovely light blue and Cheyenne pink beads. The crafter wrapped the beads around the leather core using real sinew and old Italian seed beads (comparable to Czech size 13/0) to create a contrasting triangular pattern. They edge beaded the ends of the tube with this great light blue bead for a finishing touch. This hair tube has held up well for its age. The wrapped beadwork is in great condition with no bead loss, however some beads are missing from the edge beading.This tube is 3 3/4" long with a 3/4" inside diameter. Due to age, it is best appreciated as a collectors piece, wearing this hair tube is not encouraged.
