Gourd Dance Blanket Red & Blue Broadcloth
This Red and Blue Blanket for the Gourd Dance is made from Wool Broadcloth. The crafter made it by sewing pieces of Blue and Red Broadcloth together. Then he or she added 3/4" wide Pale Blue Ribbon to the sides.
The dance in which this sash can be worn is called the Gourd Dance. The gourd dance is a Kiowa dance ceremony which honors all warriors and veterans.
A previous owner wore this Blanket. You will find it in excellent condition, with no holes or visible wear. The ends of the ribbons is a little frayed but can be trimmed.
This Blanket measures approximately 120" long and 18" wide.
