Fan Loose Macaw Feather with Peyote Stitch Handle
The beautiful colors will make this your favorite Feather fan! The crafter made it with real Macaw Feathers. He wrapped the bottom of each with Braintanned Deerskin Leather. He inserted them into the Handle individually so they move freely and spread apart rather than being bunded together.For the Beaded Fan Handle, the crafter used Peyote Stitch to create the Beadwork. He used mostly Cut 11/0 Seed Beads in a rainbow of colors on a White background. At the bottom, the crafter attached 6" of Twisted Cord Fringe.
This Macaw Feather Fan measures about 26" long overall, including the Fringe. The Beaded Handle measures 4.5" long. The feathers measure approximately 15" long.
This Fan came from a collection. We removed a couple of the Macaw Feathers because they were damaged. The Fan remains in good, usable condition or a bright addition to your Beadwork collection.
