We make our Eastern Womens Hood with lightweight wool. They come fully lined with calico fabric. They are ready for your special beading touches! Go as simple as edge beading the binding with White Pony Beads and Eastern Trade Silver Brooches. Or try your hand at stitching a Double Curve Motif. Historically, both men and women wore hoods. Native American women wear the Wool Peaked Hoods like these, especially if they are Miqmaq, Penobscot or Maliseet. You will sometimes see them decorated with Beadwork or Ribbon trim.
