Vintage Red Wool Dragger with Handmade Brass Conchos
SOLD Try this Dragger Vintage Red Wool on for size or add it to your accessories collection. The crafter made this dragger with red wool. He used Braintanned Deerskin Leather lacing to attach several handmade Brass Conchos to the entire length of it. The top concho is stamped and measures 4 inches in diameter. The concho sizes graduate down to 2 inches in diameter. At the bottom, he added a 2 inch long Brass Tube over Braintanned Deerskin Leather. He cut the bottom of the Deerskin into fringe. To this, he attached old Brass Hawk Bells and a couple of beads. At the very bottom you will see a large bundle of horsehair. At the top, the crafter added a piece of Braintanned Deerskin Leather lacing to attach it to your outfit. One of a Kind!Native American Straight Dancers can include a Dragger as part of their dance clothes. Crafters make draggers from Otter Fur or wool. They decorate them with brooches, conchos or beadwork. This Dragger Vintage Red Wool came from a collection. It measures 73 inches long overall. The width is 3.5 inches at the top and 2 inches wide at the bottom. The horse hair section hangs 12 inches down from the bottom. A previous owner wore this accessory. You will see signs of wear. The conchos show tarnish. It is in good, wearable condition. One of a Kind!
