Add this unique Weaver Doll to your collection! The crafter used a Basket Weave to create the woman's skirt using Alabaster, Red, Clear Green, Orange and Blue Seed Beads. He or she then used Peyote Stitch for her arms, body, and head using Brown, White, Black, Aqua and Red. Seed Beads. The crafter also used Peyote Stitch to create the weaver's rug using Blue, Yellow, White, Black and Red Seed Beads. Made in the 1940s or 1950s, this doll is in good condition with no bead loss.The weaver sits in front of a wood frame tied together with thread. Both she and the frame sit on a wood base that is painted turquoise. At her side is a beaded baby in a Deerskin cradleboard (not pictured).
The Doll is 2.5" tall. Her weaving frame stands about 4.5" high. The wood base measures 3.5" x 2.5" x 0.25". The Baby in the cradleboard measures 2" x 1".
