Crow Loop Necklace White Beads

The crafter used old materials and applied a lot of skill to make this Crow Loop Necklace.  He or she used old White Glass Beads that are the size of Mini Crow Beads and White Center Red Mini Crow Beads for the main part of the Necklace.  The crafter attached the Beads to an old piece of Strap Leather with very thin cut Braintanned Deerskin Leather Lacing which also makes up the Fringe.  Notice that the attachments go through the narrow edge of the Strap Leather which requires time and effort.  Additional Strap Leather is adorned with Brass Spots with loops on the back.
At the top, the crafter used old 2.5" Conch Shell Conchos.  A couple of old Brass Beads decorate the front of each Concho.  More Braintanned Deerskin Leather lacing serves as the 'chain' to wear this Necklace.
The Native Americans of the Northern Plains wear Crow Loop Necklaces. These necklaces feature multiple strands of beads strung between two leather strips. Crafters also add Deerskin Leather fringe to the sides and shell, metal or beaded rosette Conchos to the top or the center. Additional drops can personalize each necklace.
Because the crafter used old materials on this necklace, it is fragile and may not stand up to regular wear.  It measures about 20" long, not including the top lacing.
