Chevron Bead 1.125 inch
Chevron Bead 1.125 inchThis large Chevron Bead measures 1 1/8" long x approximately 0.5" in diameter. This bead comes with a somewhat narrow hole through the middle and shows a lot of white on the sides. Glass Chevron Beads are elegant layered beads. They usually come in Red, White and Blue, but can also come in other colors. Jewelers often use them to make necklaces. Beadmakers from Czechoslovakia first made Chevrons in the 16th century. Traders brought these layered beads to North America and Africa. The complexity of their manufacture makes them highly desirable. Craftsmen could not leave their factories in order to prevent them from sharing the technology. This bead shows small discolored spots in the white section. It is somewhat oblong and flattened on one side. You will notice and indented ridge along the flat side. One of a Kind! Shop for more Chevron Beads!
