We offer this Antique Brass Pail (or Bucket) for decorative purposes or for storage of dry items. We do not recommend using it to carry water. This pail shows plenty of wear. And it has at least one small hole in it.The stamp on the bottom has worn away, but originally it said: HW Hayden's Patent Dec 16 1851 Manufactured by The Ansonia Brass Co. The Ansonia Brass Company was established by Anson Phelps in Ansonia, CT.
The pail is intact with the original handle. The bottom is no longer completely flat. The inside shows green discoloration and stains.
This Pail stands 6" high. The top diameter measures 10.25" wide. The bottom diameter measures 7.25" wide.
