Bracelet - Silver Large Turquoise Stone
This large Sterling Silver Bracelet displays a large Turquoise Stone with a green color. The bracelet consists of three bands of silver. Two have a bit of a peak on them, the middle band is braided. Each side of the bracelet features a Mercury Dime. The artist, Chief Hill Canoe hammered the dimes smooth.The center of the bracelet holds the large turquoise piece. The artist stamped assorted geometric designs and arrows into the surrounding silver.
The back of the bracelet is stamped: Made by Chief Hill Canoe Indian Hand Made. Chief Hill Canoe worked with the original Plume Trading Post. The Wandering Bull purchased Plume Trading Post's inventory when that company closed.
Chief Hill Canoe probably created this bracelet around 1960. It shows a little bit of wear on the inside and the open ends. Otherwise it is in very good condition.
The whole bracelet measures about 2.5" across. The center turquoise stone measures approx. 1" x 0.75". The whole center section measures 1.75" at the longest point.
