Birchbark Set Canoes and Tepee
Add these unique Birchbark Set of Canoes and Tepee to your collection! The crafter used birchbark lined with sweetgrass to make the four canoes. He or she then added some red dyed quills to the sides. The tepee and stand are also made with birchbark and sweetgrass and darker bark on the design. A small doll with a feather sits inside of the canoe or tepee.The tepee measures 6" x 5" on the bottom of the stand and 6.75" tall. The canoes measure, from largest to smallest:
1. 10" long, 2.5" wide, 3.5" tall - bottom stamped with Bodaladamooge Trading Post
2. 8" long, 2" wide, 2.25" tall - side stamped Fundy Park, N.S.
3. 7.5" long 1.75" wide, 2" tall - side signed LE Huron
4. 4: long, 1" wide, 1.5" tall - side signed LE Huron
