Beaded Cuffs – Maliseet
Beaded Cuffs - MaliseetYour eyes will be delighted by these petite antique beadwork strips! This pair of beaded strips likely came from the cuffs of a shirt. You can see that someone removed them from something. The artist used 14/0 seed beads and some probably smaller to make these beadwork strips.
The tiny beads create floral designs in a multitude of colors. Crystal, Pink, White Center Red, Opal and metallic beads nestle together between rows of Clear and White beads. The edges of the strips glitter with Crystal and Clear Red seed beads. Green polished cotton fabric lines the back.
Because of their age these cuffs show some wear, especially along the ribbon trim. Most of the bead loss occurred along the edges as well.
You will love framing these cuffs for display!
Each cuff measures 6.5" long (that is a pretty small wrist!) and 2" at the widest point. Sold only as a pair.
