Beaded Apache Bag
Beaded Apache BagThis Beaded Apache Bag is an exquisite addition to any collection! The artist sewed two pieces of Deerskin Leather together, stopping 2 1/2" from the top to create a flap effect. Leather lacing has been woven through slits to create a drawstring closure. They lazy stitched a checkered diamond to the center of the bag with Trans. Chartreuse, Trans. Blue, and White 11/0 Seed Beads. There are Trans. Blue and White crosses lazy stitched in each corner. The artist also created a geometric patterned border with Trans. Pale Rose and White seed beads. For a finishing touch, they added 11/0 White Seed Beads to the edges and delicate Trans. Pale Rose, Trans. Blue, and White 11/0 seed bead 6" fringing to the base. The beadwork is in great condition, with minimal bead loss on the fringing.
This bag has held up well over time, with no major flaws or damage to the leather. The exterior is soft as suede. The bag measures 9 1/2" long by 6 1/2" wide.
