This Basket Sweetgrass Green Ash is quite the find! The artist created the basket from lots of sweetgrass woven through delicate ash splints. Though the color has faded from the outside of the basket, you can see it plainly on the inside and on the lid. The cover does not have a loop on the top.This basket measures 3 1/4" tall with the lid on, and has a 7" wide opening. The lid is 7 1/2" in diameter with visible ash splints in the center. The basket has some breakage, but is otherwise in good shape. The band of sweetgrass at the edge of the lid has broken leaving about 6 1/2" of ash splint.
