Bag Tipi Cheyenne Style
Bag Tipi Cheyenne StyleThis single Cheyenne Style Tipi Bag is perfect for storage or decor! The crafter used Top Grain Deerskin Leather to make this Tipi Bag. He or she used 8/0 Pony Beads to Lazy Stitch the bands of color in Yellow, Transparent Navy Blue, and White Center Red across the front. On the flap, the crafter created small points using the same color 8/0 Pony Beads.
Along the sides, the crafter attached 1.5" wide strips of Navy Blue Wool Broadcloth. Attached to these you will see Deerskin Leather Lacing tassels sporting White Center Red Crow Beads and Brass Beads. The back of the Tipi Bag remains undecorated.
Traditionally Native Americans used Tipi Bags to store items in their Tipis. The bands of beadwork are a typical design for these kinds of bags.
This Tipi Bag measures 15.5" across x 10" top to bottom. A previous owner used this Tipi Bag, so you will see some discoloration in places. It remains in very good usable condition.
