Antique Leather Bag with Deer Toes

Leather Bag decorated with Deer Toes

This unusual Antique Leather Bag will make a delightful addition to your collection!  The crafter created it in the early 1900s.  We are not sure about the type of leather, but it may be pigskin.  It is very thin.  The crafter decorated the simple top flap Bag with very neatly trimmed Deer Toes.  These hang on leather strips adorned with White and Transparent Green Basket Beads.  The Bag may have been intended as a Belt Bag, as there is a leather strip on the back that could serve as a loop for a belt.
This piece is in good condition for its age.  You will see that the top flap has split and the strip on the back has detached at the top.  It looks like someone tried to repair it with a piece of masking tape.  The Bag measures about 7" wide by 6" top to bottom. The back strip measures 3.75" x 2".
