Moccasins Women's Southern Plains Boots

Get ready to dance with these Southern Plains Style Boots/Leggings!  Beautiful White Deerskin Leather comes with loads of Fringe, Nickel Spots and 11/0 Cut Seed Beads.
The crafter made these Boots with soft White Deerskin Leather in a Kiowa Southern Plains style.  He or she used Strap Leather for the soles.  Then the crafter added 11" long Twisted Cotton Cord fringe to the tops of the Boots.  He or she sealed the ends of the Cords so they do not unravel.
On the front you will find a flap with five sets of Deerskin Leather Lacing ties to facilitate putting them on and taking them off.  One side of one of the ties on the right Boot has been lost.  The crafter decorated the flaps with 10 1/8" Nickel Spots.  Then, he or she used Lazy Stitch to create a beaded border with 11/0 Cut Seed Beads in Navy Blue, Red, Periwinkle, and Silver.  Additionally, the crafter added Edge Beading in Silver 11/0 Cut Seed Beads around the three open sides of the flap.
The crafter continued the Beaded Border around the ankles of the Boots, with a band running from the ankle to the heel as well.
These Boots stand about 17" tall.  The sole measures 9.75" long x  3.75" at the widest point.  We think these are a Women's Size 7.5.
A previous owner wore these Boots.  You will see wear on the sole and some stains and marks on the leather.  They have plenty of wear in them yet!
