Rug – Navajo Transitional
Rug - Navajo Transitional
This handwoven Navajo Rug comes from the Transitional period, during the 1920s -1930s. The weaver used hand carded wool, rather that commercially spun wool. We do not have a name for the design. This rug features beautiful muted colors. Natural browns, taupe, and gray surround an orange-red and berry red. It has a rustic look and homespun feel.
A previous owner used this rug, but it remains in very good condition. Some of the edge binding has torn or worn away. The corner tassels have worn off.
This Navajo Rug measures 57" x 40".
