Set of Two Handmade Birchbark Baskets

SOLD This Set of Two Birchbark Baskets feature designs on the sides and covers. The artist etched the designs on the back of the birchbark while it was still green. As it dried, the images darkened. The artist used spruce root to hold the containers together. He or she made each cover with two pieces of Birchbark. The covers are very sturdy and you can take them completely off the containers. You will see holes on either end with Leather Lacing that serves as handles.
The larger container stands 5″ tall and features a bird on the side and cover. The bottom measures 4″ x 5″. The cover measures 4.5″ x 5.5".  The smaller container stands 4" tall and has a floral design on the sides and cover. The bottom measures 3" x 3.75". The round cover measures 3.5" in diameter. We got these containers from a collection. Structurally they are in very good condition and will make lovely display pieces! One of a Kind!
