Our Coup Feather Kit replicates the traditional decorated ceremonial feather. Native Americans offered coup feathers to honor brave deeds and notable achievements. These included touching an enemy without harming them, stealing an enemy’s weapon or horse, leading a successful raid, or displaying exceptional bravery in combat.

This Kit includes a painted Imitation Eagle Feather, Red Fluff feathers, Imitation Sinew, felt and Deerskin Leather Lacing.

You will also need scissors and glue.

The Coup Feather can be used as an award feather, part of a headdress, a hair decoration, carried, or integrated into shields, pipes, and dance sticks.
