Necklace Old Chevrons and White Center Red Crow Beads
Get ready for compliments with this Necklace made with twelve large, old glass Chevron Beads! Their chips and patina add to their appeal. The crafter interspersed them with striking White Center Red Mini Crow Beads and round Copper Beads. You will see a couple of White Center Cranberry Crow Beads in the mix, too.
Historically, bead makers in Czechoslovakia first made Chevron Beads in the 16th -17th centuries. Traders carried these layered glass beads to North America and Africa. They are highly desirable due to the complexity of their manufacture. Foremen did not permit craftsmen to leave their factories in order to prevent them from sharing the technology.
This Necklace measures about 13″ long and does not have a clasp. We got it from a collection. You will find it a fabulous piece to wear or display. One of a Kind!
