Hand Carved Signed Pipestone Bison Pipe
This hand carved Catlinite Pipe features a Bison effigy. The crafter carved this pipe out of catlinite, also known as pipestone. He added fur, horn and tail details to the Bison. The 16.5″ stem is hand carved and stained a dark brown color. The stem has a piece of Deerskin leather with fringe decorated with Red and Yellow Seed Beads wrapped around it. You will see the artist’s signature “Big Eagle” on the bottom of the pipe bowl.
The Catlinite Bowl measures 3″ high and about 6.5″ long x 1.25″ at the widest point. The overall length is 23.25″ with the stem. One of a Kind!
